Washington Radiology Names New Director of Breast Imaging
Dr. Agnes Holland to Guide Breast Imaging Practice Upon Recent Retirement of Dr. Julianne Greenberg
FAIRFAX, VA (NOV 2020) Washington Radiology, a leading provider of comprehensive medical imaging services, is pleased to announce that Agnes Holland, M.D., Ph.D., will lead its breast imaging practice as the new director of breast imaging. Dr. Holland, who has been serving as a diagnostic radiologist and breast imaging specialist for Washington Radiologist for the last 12 years, succeeds Dr. Julianne Greenberg, who has recently retired.
“The breast imaging practice is in good hands,” said Dr. Alexander Sardiña, chief medical officer for Washington Radiology, and its parent company, Solis Mammography. “Dr. Holland has worked closely with Dr. Greenberg over the years, creating a quality-focused clinical practice that is both innovative, grounded in research, and personalized. Together, they have elevated the standard of breast imaging care in DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. She is Dr. Greenberg’s natural and endorsed successor.”
Dr. Holland, who holds an M.D. and a Ph.D., did her residency in diagnostic radiology at New York University Medical Center, and a fellowship in body and breast imaging at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Throughout her career, Dr. Holland has focused on initiating processes that improve quality and the patient experience in the pursuit of early breast cancer detection. “One of the main ways to ensure quality is to never stop learning, innovating, and striving to be the first to make the latest and most advanced imaging technology available to our patients,” she said. “It’s also important to remember quality patient care in breast imaging is not just about accuracy and excellence. It’s also about tailoring your care to the needs of each individual patient. I look forward to continuing our patient-centered philosophy and expanding our armamentarium in our fight against breast cancer.”
