Alexander B. Steever, MDDirector of CT and MRI
Dr. Alex Steever earned a medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University in New York City in 2002. After an internship in internal medicine at New York Downtown Hospital (now Lower Manhattan Hospital), Dr. Steever completed his residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Cornell from 2003 to 2007. He continued his training with a fellowship in Musculoskeletal and Body MRI, also at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Cornell, which he completed in 2008. Dr. Steever is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Prior to joining Washington Radiology in 2014, Dr. Steever spent six years as an attending radiologist and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Harlem Hospital affiliate of Columbia University Medical Center. While there, he was Director of the MRI Service and taught and mentored Harlem Hospital Center radiology residents and Columbia University medical students. He is the author of several publications and research papers on MRI. He has also presented at the annual meetings of the Radiological Society of North America and the Association of University Radiologists.
