Norbertina Banson, MDRadiologist
Dr. Tina Banson earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburg, PA in 1991. She completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT in 1996 followed by a fellowship in women’s imaging at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, RI in 1997. She specializes in breast and women’s imaging.
Prior to joining Washington Radiology, Dr. Banson practiced at hospitals in Pennsylvania and Virginia where her focus was mammography and breast interventional care. Dr. Banson has been actively involved in breast health screening and diagnostic breast imaging for more than 15 years and is a frequent community educator regarding the importance of annual screening mammography in maintaining breast health. She has published medical articles and presented before the RSNA on research related to needle biopsy. Dr. Banson joined Washington Radiology in 2018.
