Stuart A. Fruman, MD


Dr. Stuart Fruman received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1988. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Faulkner Hospital in 1989 and residency training in diagnostic radiology at New England Medical Center Hospitals in Boston in 1993. One year later, Dr. Fruman completed a body imaging fellowship in CT, MRI and ultrasound. Prior to joining Washington Radiology, Dr. Fruman was a partner for more than 20 years in a Virginia-based hospital radiology practice. During his tenure, he was appointed hospital chairman for the department of radiology. He also served as medical director for the hospital’s women’s imaging center. Dr. Fruman has been published in academic imaging journals related to the effects of CT contrast on different organs of the body. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology. Dr. Fruman joined Washington Radiology in 2016.
